RoHS Statement

Date: December 1, 2005
Due to environmental concerns, the European Union has adopted a new directive - Directive 2002/95/EC: Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) – which will restrict the use of the following substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBBs (polybrominated biphenyls), and PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in electrical and electronic products by July 2006.

Marque Magnetics (2000) Limited is actively implementing a program to bring those products requiring it, into compliance with the European Union's directive and is committed to working closely with our customers to supply products which meet their specific needs while complying with RoHS legislation.

In addition, Marque Magnetics (2000) Limited has been working with our supply chain partners and others in the industry, including material and component suppliers, to ensure every aspect of our business accommodates these new requirements. Our Purchasing department is actively seeking out and confirming RoHS compliant parts and our Manufacturing department is setting-up changes that will result in meeting the Directive.

Future products for the European market will have part numbers clearly identifying them as RoHS compliant and Marque Magnetics (2000) Limited will work with all customers of existing products to ensure that we provide a RoHS solution for them, should they so require it.

If you have questions on the Directive and its impact on your products, please feel free to contact us for more information.
